DAVID SPENCE MACDONALD April 12, 1938 April 28, 2007 On Saturday, April 28, 2007, David Macdonald passed away peacefully at home in the comfort of family at the age of 69 years. Remaining to forever cherish David's memory are his loving family; wife Gladys of 47 years; two daughters, Donna (Glenn) and Deanna (Bill); grandchildren, Krystle, Tyler and Alyssa; sister Heather (Blair); nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and where he lived most of his life, David worked in the autobody industry and in 1980 he went into business operating various gas stations throughout Winnipeg. Following in his father's footsteps, David became a Mason in 1976. For the past 17 years he lived in cottage land where he enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and woodworking. He will be remembered for his generosity and kindness as well as for his strong will and compassion for life and for his family. At David's request a private family interment has taken place at the St. Vital Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Herseth and the staff at the Roseau Hospital in Minnesota, and to the staff at the East Borderland Primary Health Care Centre in Sprague, Manitoba for their professional and personal support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent, in David's memory, to East Border Community Housing Inc., Box 207, Sprague, Manitoba, R0A 1Z0 or to a charity of one's choice.
